The IEPS800 gives users the ability to connect KEP products (SUPERtrol Family) RS-232 with Ethernet networks. The port server allows customers to use their existing plant 10BASET Ethernet rather than running separate RS-232 cables to the ST2’s. This will permit users to have TROLlink, Infilink-HMI software, Server software or Flow Computer setup application running on a PC with an Ethernet port. Their software at the PC end creates a virtual RS-232 COM Port for these programs.
Since the IEPS800 works using an IP address and uses TCP/IP Protocol, it also has Internet address capabilities.
